TOURNAMENTS
- SPACE IS LIMITED ON A FIRST COME BASIS & CONFIRMED BY DEPOSIT ONLY.
- MINIMUM OF 4 TEAMS NEEDED PER DIVISION
- Open & AA divisions may be combined if necessary.
- DEPOSITS WILL BE REFUNDED FOR CANCELED DIVISIONS OR A COMPLETELY
RAINED OUT WEEKEND ONLY!
- ALL OTHER DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE.
Start times:
- 8:00-8:30 AM CHECK IN, 9 AM START FOR ALL DIVISIONS
- Benefit Raffle tickets will be available for sale on the day of the event.
Fees:
- All 2's divisions are $50/ team.
- SPACE IS LIMITED ON FIRST COME BASIS.
- ALL PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED WITH AVPNEXT, REGISTRATION FORMS
AVAILABLE ON THE DAY OF. AVPNEXT MEMBERSHIP IS AN ADDITIONAL $10.

13th Annual North Fork Beach Invitational
- Traditional end of season event open by invitation only to pre-qualified NFBV players.
- Coed 4's, mandatory 50% participation from reg. season, must have at least one player of
opposite gender on court. No substitution of non roster players allowed. Prizes are
awarded to tournament participants only.
Tentative Invitational Tournament Seeding Chart
Notice:
- This schedule is subject to change based on number of entries, impending inclement
weather or other extenuating circumstances.
- Seeds are determined from regular season standing finish. Playoff games will be played to
break ties in the standings.
- Earned seed rank remain with teams throughout the duration of the event.
- Tied teams facing tournament round elimination will play 11 pt. ga. playoff.
- More than 2 tied teams/pool: will be seeded first by head to head tournament records, then
by (+/-) point differential to determine playoff game sequence. In a 3 team tie, top team
gets bye while other 2 playoff first.
- 2 teams face tournament/consolation round elimination in 1st round.
- Round # 2 splits tournament into Semi Finals/Consolation rounds.
- ALL seeding formats are taken from a standard chart (as has been policy for years) and
are not intended to discriminate. Please ask if you require further explanations.
Round #1
Round Robin Double Split Format: for 14 team tournament
- Teams play once through pool (6 ga ea)
- Two teams with best records in each pool (4 teams total) move on to semis.
- Bottom teams in each pool (2 teams total) are eliminated from tournament.
- 8 remaining teams eliminated from semi final round move on to consolation round to
determine 5-7th place.

Round #2:Semi Finals:
- Highest rated seed plays best of 3 ga versus lowest rated seed.
- Second and 3rd rated seeds play best of 3 ga in other semi.
- 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3: best of 3 ga., (21,21,15 pt games)
Consolation Round #2: (8 teams that were eliminated from 1st round):
- Teams seeded according to "advantage style" (as opposed to "equitable")single
elimination format. PLEASE ASK for explanation if needed!!!
- Remaining teams are given seeds 1-8 based on regular season standing.
- Sudden death elimination, 4 losing teams are out, 4 winning teams move on.
- 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5 (1 game to 21 pts)
Round #3: Finals
Last two remaining teams have best of 3 ga playoff.
- 1 vs 2 best of 3 ga., (21, 21, 15 pt games) to determine tournament winner
- 3 vs 4 : (1 ga. to 21 pts.) to determine 3rd/4th pl.
Semi final Consolation Round #3:
Single ga playoffs for 4 remaining teams.
- 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3 ( 1 ga to 21 pts)
Final Consolation Round #4
- 1 vs 2 ( 1 ga to 21) to determine 5th/6th pl
- 3 vs 4 (1 ga to 21) to determine 7th pl.
